ICAO Responsibilities

The Aeronautical Information Service (AIS) is established to collect and disseminate aeronautical information to flight operations personnel and to other services, local and overseas that are responsible for dissemination of flight information. This information is contained in Notices to Airmen (NOTAMS), Aeronautical Information Publications (AIPS), AIP Supplements and Aeronautical Information Circulars (AICs).

The Cayman Islands Airport Authority (CIAA) has the contracted responsibility for providing and maintaining the Aeronautical Information Service for the Cayman Islands through the Air Traffic Services division. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands is responsible for the safety oversight of this unit.
