The role of the Civil Aviation Authority is primarily to function as the regulatory organization responsible for safety oversight and economic regulation of the aviation industry throughout the territory and to ensure that the Cayman Islands aviation industry conforms to the standards and recommended practices of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Our mission statement is:
To provide sustainable regulatory procedures to meet international aviation standards. Through committed partnerships, the CAACI, will maintain the safety of persons & property.
With our corporate values identified as the following:

- Excellence: to be characteristic of everything that the CAACI undertakes to do
