The aircraft certificate of airworthiness is valid for one year for private aircraft and six months for commercial aircraft subject to a satisfactory survey. The survey consists of a physical inspection of the aircraft and records. The operator's Technical Coordinator meets with the CAACI's Surveyor at these surveys who provides the nexus that ensures the requisite standards are met.
