The CAACI accepts aircraft, with Type Certificates issued by the FAA, Transport Canada, JAA and EASA. A Type Acceptance Certificate (TAC) is issued by the CAACI for all aircraft types accepted on the register. OTAR 21, Subpart B details the guidelines for TAC approval. Type Certificate Acceptance is a means to ensure standards are met in that the manufacturer or the holder of the Type Certificate continues to supply information to support continued airworthiness.
