The Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands is seeking to recruit an Administrative Assistant/Receptionist in its Economic Regulation and Administration Division.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt and courteous telephone and customers service to the public and staff of the Civil Aviation Authority. This includes (a) accurate message taking and relaying of messages in a timely manner; (b) transferring calls to voice mail as required/requested.
  • Preparing conference room for scheduled meetings and events.
  • Sort and file all official correspondence in a timely and efficient manner using the established guidelines.
  • Maintain and update mailing address and distribution lists and databases.
  • Perform errands (pick-up and delivery of mail packages, documentation as needed) and purchasing of sundry items for the office as directed and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Order and maintain inventory of office supplies and materials for office equipment and kitchen.
  • Provide general administrative assistance to all CAACI divisions as needed.
  • Provide support and back-up for the marketing & promotional activities on an as-needed basis.
  • Type letters and other professional documents from copy, draft or dictation.
  • Provide support and administrative assistance to the Deputy-Director Economic Regulation & Administration
  • Other general administrative duties as required from time to time.

 

Job Qualification, Experience & Skills 

  • Must be a high school graduate with passes in English language and Mathematics.
  • Possess at least 3 years customer service and administrative experience.
  • Ability to type accurately to a minimum of 40 wpm.
  • Must possess the ability to effectively operate most office equipment in a safe manner.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.
  • Ability to provide courteous and pleasant customer service to the public and callers at all times.
  • Postholder must be highly organized and able to work on own initiative to meet deadlines, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities from time to time.
  • Must be a team player
  • Possess a valid Cayman Islands Driver’s License

 

Salary & Benefits:

Salary range is CI$37,148 to $44,666 per annum and will commensurate with experience and qualifications.  Benefits include contributory pension, 18 working days’ vacation and health insurance.
