Internal Control and Statistics Officer
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Cayman Islands (CAACI) is seeking to recruit an Internal Control and Statistics Officer to develop and perform internal control procedures for the CAACI; assist with the proper documenting and recording of transactions for the aircraft register and perform statistical analyses to support business development of the aircraft register.
The postholder would report to the Director of Finance and Compliance and be responsible for developing and conducting internal control processes and procedures and act as a liaison between the Air Safety Regulation (ASR) and the Financial & Compliance Divisions. The main functions of this job would be to ensure that proper accounting and documenting procedures are adhered to, which includes but not limited to the accurate invoicing to CAACI clients and updating of financial and Aircraft Registry records, reporting on accuracy and timeliness of all formal documents issued from the Authority. The postholder will be responsible for the continued development of a current manual of internal control procedures and financial controls for the Authority. The postholder would also perform general statistical functions.
Bachelor’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 5 years relevant finance and accounting experience.
The post holder should have experience in collating statistics and analysis thereof.
Working knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office software to include Word, Excel (and related database applications), and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of other business software programs would be an asset.
Salary & Benefits:
Salary range is CI$ 53,574 to CI$82,748 per annum and will commensurate with experience and qualification. Benefits include a contributory pension plan, health insurance coverage, 18 working days’ vacation and provision for appropriate training.
